Honeoye Falls, NY. Since 1999, Courtney has played at various festivals, churches, and

Courtney A. Streb is a creative singer/songwriter whose sincerity awakens hearts and minds.
Her lyrics tell stories of struggle, loss, and growth that let listeners know they’re not alone.
The message of her music is clear: come to the master and find healing, hope, and grace.
Courtney says, “My one joy is in knowing that what I’ve said or sung has helped someone.”
Courtney’s set is made up of original works and she enjoys telling the stories that inspired the
songs. Her performances are flexible, they are able to materialize as a concert or a church
worship service, and they can last 20min to 1½ hrs.
Courtney was first introduced to the guitar by her first-grade teacher. For a year she begged
for lessons, and finally received them for her 7th birthday. She became an accomplished
musician in school, taking part in every band and choir. Throughout High School and college,
she was given many awards and recognitions for her talent and drive for excellence.
However, Courtney’s induction as a songwriter is where her story becomes unique. When she
was 11 she was in a devastating car crash that left her bound to a hospital bed for a month, and
confined to home for a time. She broke her back and was 3 millimeters from being paralyzed
for life. She had to re-learn to walk. But in her pain, she found an outlet, a way to make sense
of it all…songwriting.
Each of Courtney’s songs has a different meaning and purpose in it, but each one is about
regaining hope, whatever the circumstances. She is real, honest and down-to-earth. She has
times of mourning and sadness. But, in those times, God works through her the best - when
she’s entirely dependent on Him. She is optimistic and believes there is always a light at the
end of the tunnel, for it’s the pain that allows us to fully appreciate the joy.
